UKG Modern Employee Profile

I reimagined the employee profile experience and created a new design that inspired a roadmap shift for release later this year

In March 2025, while pressure-testing the modern UX vision across domains, I noticed that the current employee profile felt more like an HR record than a meaningful, human experience. Given its high visibility and broad impact across roles and domains, I saw an opportunity to add real value.

I quickly explored a concept for a public-facing version of the employee profile, collaborating with the UX lead for that domain. I pitched the idea to the Sr. UX Director and VP of UX. It was well-received, and the People domain partnered with their product teams to change the roadmap to include it in a planned release later this year.

As a result, greater UX investment is now being made in the employee profile experience. I'm a key stakeholder in this initiative, and I’m actively setting up the newly dedicated UX lead, content designer, and visual designer to take the concept further. Because of the strength of the idea, the UX lead has been given space to fully explore the vision without backend constraints—turning what began as a quick concept into a fully supported product direction.
